What I've been listening to lately

That's from "Danzón No. 2" by Arturo Márquez, a Mexican composer, and conducted by Keri-Lynn Wilson, a Canadian composer. I had heard this piece recently on KPAC, and then I downloaded it from iTunes to give it a longer listen. And each time I play it I like it more. The piece is off the album Danzón, featuring the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra under Wilson's direction first recorded album, and I may download the rest of it to see if her other "danzón" are just as stirring.
